Neoclassical dance theater (a combination of classical dance and modern elements) “Releve” was formed in 1989. led by dancer R. Butrimavičiūtė. Many generations of talented dancers have matured in the Releve Theater. First, the dancers are taught the basics of classical dance and only then, using complex dance stylistics, choreographic compositions are created. This neoclassical dance theater is original in that it seeks to combine the basics of classical dance with the style of modern dance expression – thoughts, feelings and emotions are conveyed to the viewer in body language.

1992 Releve hosted its first youth festival, “Šoku Tau”, which has become a traditional dance festival. The Neoclassical Dance Theater Releve prepares not only a new program for festivals or competitions during the year. They dedicate time and charity to the events that take place at the Kaunas Disability Event in the Sports Hall, Kaunas Gediminas Sports and Health Gymnasium, Klaipėda Faculty of Arts Hall, Neringa Art School. He also participates in various local and international competitions, dance festivals and more.
