Dvi moterys, psichologė ir policijos pareigūnė, imasi sudėtingos misijos – gimtajame miestelyje sumažinti rekordinį savižudybių skaičių. Valija ir Gintarė keliauja nuo durų iki durų, gelbėdamos vienišiausius savo bendruomenės narius jautrumu ir empatija. Kasdien jausdamos baimę prarasti dar vieną gyvybę, moterys užmezga stiprų tarpusavio ryšį, iš nelaimės gniaužtų ištrauksiantį ne vieną žmogų. Drauge joms pavyksta numalšinti krizę ir atrasti, kad savižudybių prevencija gali būti veiksminga. Jautriai gvildenant sudėtingas temas, dokumentiniame filme „Būsiu su tavim“ įkvėpimo semiamasi iš tikrovės, visai šalia mūsų aptinkamos daug dažniau, nei galėtume pagalvoti.

The opening night of the “Inconvenient Films” festival in Kaunas with the screening of “I’ll Stand by You”. After the screening, there will be a meeting with the film’s creative team.
Two women, a psychologist and a police officer, engage into a challenging mission – to reduce the record suicide numbers in their bucolic hometown. Valija and Gintare provide door to door empathy and compassion, healing the loneliest members in their community. At the peak of fear to loose another life, the women form a resourceful friendship. Together they succeed to minimise the crisis and prove that suicide prevention can be effective. Sensitive in it’s approach, “I’ll Stand by You” conveys inspiration from a reality that is much more common than it seems.
