On May 2–3, Kaunas will once again become the capital of ballroom dance – the 60th International Ballroom Dance Competition “Gintarinė pora” will take place at Žalgirio Arena, marking a special anniversary edition that highlights its unique place in Lithuania’s dance history.
This two-day event annually brings together the most talented dance couples from Lithuania and abroad, with performances evaluated by top-level international judges. For decades, the competition has remained one of the most prominent ballroom dance events in Lithuania, attracting both professionals and audiences alike.
On May 3 at 7:00 PM, spectators will be invited to a special evening highlight – a free final competition and concert dedicated to Mother’s Day. It is a great opportunity not only to experience high-level dance but also to spend a meaningful праздничный Sunday evening.
“Gintarinė pora” is more than just a competition. It is a long-standing tradition, born in Kaunas and grown together with Lithuania’s ballroom dance community, bringing together different generations, experiences, and dance stories on one stage every year.
